Rearcross made the long journey to Shinrone on Saturday last for this our 4th league game of the season. Rearcross started well and for the first 10 minutes dominated the encounter. A great run from midfield by Cillian Kennedy after 5 minutes saw his shot across the goal go inches wide with Eoin Sheldon unlucky not to get a touch. A couple of minutes later another greaet run by Cillian Kennedy took him to the end line and his low cross this time found Brian Nolan who controlled well but his shot was well saved by the home keeper. Unfortunately this was as good as it got for Rearcross and midway through the half a few mistimed tackles led to Shinrone being awarded a free kick on the edge of the penalty area which they duly converted with a well struck low piledriver . The home side doubled their advantage before half time with a well taken goal. Rearcross tried hard in the 2nd half to get back into the game but it was the home team who added two more goals the first coming after a mix up in the Rearcross defence and the second from a well taken penalty.
